In Gujarati there is a famous Bhakti Pada for the lord Krishna, the icon of love, festivals, joy, arts and spirituality…….
” holi khele vraj maan rasiyo, udde abil gulal re,
sange rame Radha gauri, varase satarangi dhar ree…”
today, the Vraj and Vrindavan towns are still find themselves in deep colors of Krishna on Holi festival….the festival of life..the festival of soul.
On this auspicious occasion, I was out of the city but returned today without any color on my body. This is the simple trend now a days in gujarat, where most of the people stay away from the colors and enjoy this festival with total rest on the day…..so sad….but I agree with the color-fact and its side effects…even through you have other organic and safe options also to attend the festival with full throat. My wife likes only plain water and the Kesudo(Palash or flame of jungle) color. You will find these all subjects around you, in the city, villages and the trees near by you…then you will have the answers in options……
One more thing, in our Vaisnav sect or swaminarayan sect the holi is known as the Phool dol Utsav, means the holi with the colors of flowers..the almighty used to play the holi with flowers with the Bhaktas…..in sarangpur(gujarat-Saurastra) P.P.Pramukhswami maharaj gives the blessing every year by playing holi with hari-bhakta on phool dol utsav….
so,dear all enjoy safe, organic, cheap holi with all..and people who deny to get with you, use your force with others to give them the first chance…….
